Looking for Bosch Cordless Power Tools?

At Kelvin Power Tools, we have an excellent choice of cordless tools for professional use.

Included in our cordless tools are drills and screwdrivers. This is where you will find our extensive combi drill selection. The cordless tool that no tradesman can be without. In our cordless drill range we also have cordless SDS drills and drill drivers too.

We have a cordless woodworking range which includes saws and multi tools which are very useful for a range of jobs. We also have a cordless engineering tool range where you will find our cordless impact wrenches and grinders.

We also supply cordless power tools without their batteries as bare tools. An option we provide so you don't end up with too many batteries if you have some you can use already. Also in our cordless range are our cordless power tool kits which offer you great value for money.

What types of battery are available?

There are 3 main types of battery chemistry on the market: nickel cadmium (NiCd), nickel metal hydride (NiMH), and lithium-ion (Li-ion). NiMH and NiCd have basically disappeared as Li-ion cordless tools have become cheaper and manufacturers extend their ranges. We therefore only stock Lithium-ion tools.

Li-ion have several advantages including no memory effect, lighter weight (more power than a NiCd/NiMH battery of the same weight), and low self-discharge rate of 5-10% per month. That's why they are becoming the battery of choice for manufacturers and for you, the users.

What Voltages are available?

Most cordless power tools are available in a variety of voltages, from 10.8v up to 36.0v. The voltage changes not only the power of the machine but the size and weight too. The greater the power, the more expensive the tool tends to be as well. So it is not always best to choose the most powerful one.

  • 10.8v tools are handy for light tasks or infrequent usage
  • 14.4v tools are best for performing at a moderate level
  • 18v tools are the most popular tools of today, balancing power and performance with usability and versatility
  • 36v tools are best for frequent performance or with tools that require a lot of power to perform, like circular saws.
