These Spit Hammer Fixings have a corrosion-resistant zinc plated screw covered by a polyamide 6 sleeve, which is resistant to weathering, ageing, rotting and most chemical attacks. It is a strong material that can withstand temperatures from -20 degrees celcius to 60 degrees celcius, and has good electrical insulation.
By hammering in the hammer screw fixing the drive nail pushes against the collar until it is fully located. Further hammering or tightening the screw expands the collar, and when full contact is made the screw is drawn into the collar until flush with the fixture surface. For detailed, step-by-step instructions please refer to Spit literature.
These Spit hammer screws are appropriate for use in concrete, aerated concrete, solid block, solid stone and solid brick. Typical applications include use with brackets, skirting boards, drywall track and brackets, and metal frames.
