Kelvin Power Tools stock a range of chop saws, also known as cut-off saws and abrasive metal-cutting saws, from top brands like Bosch, Makita, Metabo and Alfra. They generally cut using an abrasive disc similar to a thin grinding wheel but can also use metal-cutting saw blades, and the blade is normally mounted on a pivoting arm that is attached to a fixed base. These saws have become very useful on jobsites, as lightweight steel fabrication that previously needed to be performed in a workshop with stationary tools can now be done on site.
