Strimmers

Kelvin Power Tools stock a range of Makita strimmers, also known as line trimmers. These machines are suitable for heavy domestic use and are excellent tools for removing grass and plants from areas quickly and cleanly. Instead of a blade they use a flexible line which is spun at a speed that leaves it taught and able to cut through light materials. They are either petrol or electric powered:

• Petrol powered models: heavier, more powerful, more portable, more polluting
• Corded electric models:  lighter, corded, less pollution, often less powerful
• Cordless electric models: portable, less polluting, heavier than corded due to battery, less powerful
