Flatbits

Kelvin Power Tools stock a variety of DeWalt and Bosch flat bits, also known as spade bits, in sizes from 6.0mm diameter to 40.0mm diameter. Also available are flat bit extensions, which extend the length of the flat bit by an extra 152mm or 305mm. The particular Bosch flatbit that we stock is a “Self Cut” bit, designed so that the threaded tip of the bit pulls itself through the wood during drilling to reduce the force required and speed up the process. These flat bits provide clean cuts, excellent performance and high accuracy, drill three times as fast as standard spade bits, and can be up to four times more cost-effective than spur auger bits. Self Cut flat bits are typically used for drilling hardwood, softwood, light building materials and plasterboard.
