Combination Squares & Bevels

What is the difference between a Combination Square and a Bevel?

Combination squares have a straight ruled blade and a head which includes a spirit level. These hand tools can be used for numerous tasks, including measuring and transferring 90° and 45° angles, approximating level surfaces and gauging depth.

Bevels are similar to combination squares, except the blade is able to rotate and lock in place, which allows you to measure and transfer angles of any size.
