Cordless Circular Saws & Plunge Saws

What is a Circular Saw?

A circular saw is hand-held with a rotating circular blade for making straight cuts in different materials.

What's the Difference Between a Circular Saw and a Plunge Saw?

A circular saw has a riving knife which sits behind the blade to prevent the material from pinching the blade and causing kickback when you're making rip cuts. In order to make plunge cuts, the riving knife has to be removed from the saw as it prevents the blade from plunging straight down into the material.

Plunge saws have a spring-loaded riving knife which allows you to make plunge cuts. The material pushes it upwards and out of the way when the initial cut is made, then it slips back down and into the cut as the saw moves forwards.

If you'll be performing plunge cuts on a regular basis, then a plunge saw is the right choice for you!

Battery Voltage

There's different cordless saw voltages to choose from:

  • 10.8V or 12V: For lighter-duty tasks.
  • 14.4V: For medium-duty tasks.
  • 18V: For heavier-duty tasks.

Circular Saw Blades

We have a great range of blades which you'll need for your saw.

Guide Rails

We have a great range of guide rails for making perfectly straight cuts. Some saws aren't compatible with guide rails or can only be used with their manufacturer's rails, so make sure your saw is compatible beforehand.

Electric Circular Saws

We also have a great range of corded circular saws and plunge saws which might be better suited to your needs.
