A random orbital sander uses a circular sanding disc which has an elliptical orbit like a regular sander, however it also spins around a spindle at the same time. This means that the grit travels random paths, as opposed to repeating the same pattern and leaving the swirl marks which are commonly associated with other electric sanders.

A random orbital sander is generally used on wood and paint. This power tool provides rapid stock removal and leaves a finer finish than an orbital sander. It combines the speed and aggression of a belt sander, whilst being able to provide a scratch-free finish. We supply a range of high quality random orbital sanders from Bosch, Metabo and Festool in both 110V and 240V.
